Two Tanked Productions has been asked to produce a Pilot for a cable network for a weekly SCUBA show. We are working on that project at this time (March 2008) and hope to have the project completed by the end of April 2008. It will have something for everyone we hope. We will post updates here as we can time permitting. So far we have included locations such as Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, and many other locations around California. If the program goes will be shooting in locations around the world. Please keep coming back for more update on this very special project.
Below is the pilot for SCUBA Locker: Hopefully what will become a weekly series where divers become the cast and stars of this reality based program. The divers of Anthony Wiley's SCUBA Locker volunteered their time and money for this effort to bring entertaining dive adventures to you. Thank you to all that were able and to all that will bare themselves in the up coming episodes of SCUBA Locker!
Reed Nescher records first sighting of Red Lionfish in the Turks & Caicos at West Caicos Caye
We recorded what maybe the first Red Lionfish in the Turks & Caicos Islands 7/24/07 at the end of the Bahamas chain of Islands and Keys. This is as far south and east as has been reported so far for this invader species of fish. It is thought that they maybe linked to the Atlantis Resort's Aquarium and maybe connected to accidental release of fertilized eggs. The numbers have been growing fast in the Bahamas and the east coast of the United States. This could be part of a Caribbean take over for these fish who have no predators in this region of the world. The fish has been considered an Indo-Pacific fish to this point.
Spooky Channel Project: We were asked to map and survey the Famous Spooky Channel in Roatan Honduras in 2003. It has been an on going project that has involved a lot of time and effort with thousands of measurements , video, and pictures being taken. The original team consisted of six divers diving for a week 4 to 5 times a day laying baseline and measuring each area of the channel. More information is available here at the Official site. Here are some of the pictures taken during the project.
We hope to be your source of underwater adventure, Videos, Photos, Training, and a place of resources for both the entertainment industry and the public. We hope to attract the diving public to a site that will be interesting and educational as well as fun and informative.
We hope to be a forum for talent from the dive industry and the diving public. A place for talented production professional and amateur videograhers and photographers to display their best work and have an opportunity to be seen by a large audience.
We are open to suggestions as to the secondary direction this site might take. We are active divers who enjoy what we do and want to share it with the dry world. We hope that in doing so will promote SCUBA Diving, help preserve the worlds reefs, and introduce the underwater world and its beauty to the many that have not gone our will not go.
This site will be built slowly over the next couple years and will morph as needed to help as we can in furthering our mission.
Please feel free to use our message board to ask questions of your piers. Post important questions and hopefully get answers from the best in the industry. This is a great place to ask about your next location or adventure location. Where to stay and what to see, plus what are the inside scoops that will make your trip better!
